Please liaise directly with TIKKA TOURS prior to booking, email info@tikkatours.com.au, regarding any special requirements you may have for your travel arrangements such as special meal and seating requests, room type or disabled access.

TIKKA TOURS require that all travellers under the age of 18 be accompanied by a legal guardian, or in lieu of a legal guardian, by a legal guardian-appointed escort over the age of 18. The legal guardian or their designated escort is responsible for the traveller under the age of 18’s day-to-day care. If a legal guardian elects to designate an escort in their lieu, relevant documentation will need to be supplied to delegate their authority.

It is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel known and understood and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. TIKKA TOURS recommend that you consult with your local doctor, travel medical service or specialist vaccination clinic before commencing your travel. General health advice for the destination you wish to visit is also available from DFAT (see smarttraveller.gov.au).

VISA INFORMATION:

Australian national tourists can arrive at any of the nine international airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Goa within 30 days of being issued an E-VISA. When assisting with an international travel booking, we will assume that all travellers on the booking have a valid Australian passport. If this is not the case, you must let us know.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover your travel arrangements. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. Insurance cover offered by credit card companies or reciprocal medical cover agreements are often not comprehensive. Please provide your travel insurance policy number and the insurance company's 24-hour emergency contact number on request by TIKKA TOURS.

TRAVEL ADVICE:

We recommend that you contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or visit their website at www.smartraveller.gov.au for general travel advice, as well as specific advice (including safety alert levels) relating to the destination you wish to visit. You can also register your travel plans with DFAT, so that you may be more easily contacted in an emergency.

CHANGE OF ITINERARY:

Changes made before departure: In the case of a major change made to the tour or private travel arrangements, TIKKA TOURS will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. If major change is made, you may choose between accepting the change, obtaining a refund of money paid on the land portion of the trip only or accepting an alternative tour offered.

Changes made after departure:  TIKKA TOURS reserve the right to change an itinerary after departure due to force majeure or events outside of our reasonable control. In such emergency circumstances the additional cost of any necessary itinerary alterations will be covered by you. Please note we are not responsible for any incidental expenses that may be incurred as a result of the change of itinerary such as visas, vaccinations or non-refundable flights.

TOUR LEADER AUTHORITY:

TIKKA TOURS group trips are run by a professional group leader. The decision of the group leader is final on all matters likely to affect the safety or well-being of any traveller or staff member participating in the trip. Failing to follow or comply with a decision made by a group leader or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the group leader may direct you to leave the trip immediately, with no right of refund.  We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited.

TIKKA TOURS use information from reports from our own contacts and that of foreign government departments in assessing whether or not the itinerary should operate. In addition, it is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information, the nature of the itinerary as well as an understanding of the local customs & mores.

LIABILITY:

TIKKA TOURS work with a network of government agencies, companies and individuals to assist in the running of our tours as agents for these third parties. TIKKA TOURS does not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control, force majeure or any other event which is beyond our reasonable control or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on the part of TIKKA TOURS. This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Optional activities not included in the trip price do not form part of the trip or this contract and therefore, you accept that TIKKA TOURS is not liable for optional activities. The contract for the provision of that activity will be between you and activity provider.

CLAIMS AND COMPLAINTS:

Should you have a complaint about your trip please inform your group leader or our local representative at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached through these means, then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the tour.

GOVERNING LAW:

If any dispute arises between you and us, the laws of Australia will apply. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia and waive any right that you may have to object to an action being brought in those courts.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

You acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older and that you understand and agree with the above Booking Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
